Lamont A. Francies is a fiery and passionate gospel preacher who loves the Lord and serving His people.  Brother Francies delivers the Word of God in a way to connect with both old young believers, realizing it is a privilege to be a part of God's Kingdom.  Looking back, Brother Francies preached his first sermon at the age of 16.  He has since dedicated himself to proclaiming the Word of God.  He is married to Tiffany Francies, formerly Tiffany Hastings.  They were married August 5^th, 2006.  They have one daughter Tamia Joy. Lamont was raised by a single mother and groomed at the Bayview church of Christ in San Francisco, CA.  He grew up listening to the fundamental sermons of Bro. J.C. Rodgers. He received his most intense biblical training while serving as a ministerial intern at the Westchester Church of Christ in Los Angeles, CA under Dr. David G. Holmes & Scott Montgomery. Later, he served two years under the leadership of Bro. Isaac Sandifer Jr. at the Baker Street Church of Christ, in Bakersfield, CA. He was groomed for ministry by various ministers including Bro. Kinwood Divore, Bro. James E. Austin, Jr., & Dr. Dewayne Winrow.  Bro. Francies has preached at many church of Christ congregations in California and at various gospel meetings including the West Coast Preachers and Leaders Forum.

                                                          

In the summer of 2003, Lamont started preaching at the Diane Avenue Church of Christ in Pittsburg, California.  In June of 2004, he was officially installed as the evangelist and served there until September 2007.  In October 2007 he began this new work at the Delta Bay Church of Christ in Antioch, California.

 

Educationally, Bro. Francies holds a BA in Telecommunications from Pepperdine University; he received a Master’s of Arts in Sociology from California State University, Bakersfield; and is currently in a doctoral program dealing with International & Multicultural Education at the University of San Francisco.  At the same time, he is currently working as an Outreach Consultant for McClymond’s High School in Oakland, California.

A resource for all.  Creates and publishes the church bulletin.  Trains youth singers and teaches toddlers through 3rd grade.

Bro. Irvin Perkins has served faithfully as member of the Diane Ave. Church of Christ in Pittsburg for congregation for 18 years. He specializes in substance abuse counseling and recovery. Bro. Perkins also serves on the Vision Team and is a vital part of church ministry.
